The Shore Trust was established in 1923 as a Charitable Trust Foundation by the trustees of the St. Clair Foundation, in accordance with the overriding aims of the St. Clair Foundation, which was itself established in 1889.
The work of the St. Clair Foundation is seldom advertised, and is rarely made public.
The Shore Trust was created to further the rights of the poor, and provide a voice for those unable to speak for themselves.
As our modern society has evolved, our core values have remained intact.
We are an unregistered Charitable Trust Foundation operating privately for the benefit of our members.
Members are accepted from all walks of life and backgrounds, generally from members of the society of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, and that of Ireland.
Our work is predominantly focused in the area of advocacy, although the Trust has been known to lobby Central Government on important issues of public policy where it concerns relief for the poor.
The work we undertake is largely private.
